The Role of Paraplanner

To manage and execute processes from Fact Find to the preparation of the Statement of Advice.

Your core accountabilities will include:

  • Excellent report writing skills - file notes, strategy papers, BID, research papers
  • Ability to analyse statistics - market comparison of products, debt data, budget data, insurance analysis, completion of working papers to capture detailed profile data for accurate data input
  • Ability to conduct research for appropriate providers and investments - Extract market comparison for insurance companies, stock research, fund manager research, research reports
  • Good understanding of compliance issues - SIS Act, AMP policy and procedures, FDS, FSG, working papers, compliance registers, preparing working papers
  • Excellent interpersonal and IT skills - Microsoft Office, COIN, Xplan

About You

To be considered for this role, you would preferably have the following skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Must be RG146 qualified
  • Experience required in Srategies of Paraplanning Preparations
  • Understanding the concepts of a Statement of Advice
  • Ability to work well with minimal supervision and to take ownership of tasks and problems and follow through
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and assist other members of the team
  • The desire to work outside your usual job requirements if it will assist either a client or another staff member
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Well groomed and neatly presented at all times
